Melodie Rathmell, Part-Time Office Worker   

Melodie was raised in a Christian home.  She heard the Gospel message many times and at the age of 7, she gave her heart to Jesus.  As a child, she attended Good News Clubs and Good News Day Camps.  As a teen, she helped in both of those ministries because the ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship of Snyder and Union Counties was a priority in her life.  Melodie married Kevin Rathmell, and they became supporters of this ministry.  God blessed their marriage with 3 children: Joshua, Phillip, and Victoria.  It was important to Kevin and Melodie to have their children involved in the Child Evangelism Fellowship of Snyder and Union Counties ministry.  As the children got older, Melodie started helping at camp.  The more she became involved, the more burdened her heart became and she realized the urgency and need to tell the children about Jesus.  In 2007, the local committee approached Melodie about joining their staff.  Melodie had already been praying for an opportunity to be used and knew this was God’s answer.

Since this time, God has used her in many different aspects of the ministry.  Her favorite responsibilities have been preparing materials for the ministries’ volunteers and interacting with the children at camp.  Her heart’s desire is to see children being given the opportunity to meet and serve Jesus.
